This is a project I did for my Data Visualization class. We had to pick a data set from an unsuccessful data viz, and make it more comprehensible. I used Tableau to create all the charts then imported it to Illustrator to clean it up and stylize it.
The Process
This was the previous design by Datasaurus Rex. With all the data displayed at once, t's very overwhelming to look at so I decided to take certain aspects of the data, as well as incorporating captions and pinpoints of important data, to tell a story.
I asked the question: is there a pattern in the amount of deaths before or during the season finale?
And in my research, I found that I was correct! 7 of the 10 deadliest episodes occurred within the last two episodes of a season.
